With Burr English Elm as rare and stunning as this, clean lines and simple shapes help to create a formal skin. This hand turned sculpture is about juxtaposing a quite formality with the chaotic and explosive natural grain patterns which expand outwards from within.

Based on the classically shaped “Table Vase” we originally produced in 2018, we have called this taller more elegant iteration the Bobbin Vase, in reference to the shape of the top. Designed and made to be beautiful objects in their own right, our Bobbin Vases can also enhance and be enhanced by dried flowers or an artistically selected twig or two.

Vase Height: 24cm tall x 5cm wide with a 12mm diameter core drilled hole approx. 8.5cm deep.

It’s finished with a blend of plant oils and waxes that richly enhance the natural beauty of this exceptional wood.
