Hand-turned from a single piece of American walnut, this piece shows the rich, chocolate-brown heartwood American walnut is famous for — one of the most sought-after cabinet-making timbers in the world. A section of the natural bark edge has been retained on the side showing a small section of the outer tree.

The Fairlight shape is our original design, born from rethinking the conventional rules of woodturning. Traditional bowls keep an even wall thickness throughout, which limits their form and wastes much of the timber. We kept the clean, straight exterior but introduced a sweeping interior curve — combining the architectural presence of a straight-sided vessel with the organic depth of a classic bowl.

As at home on a dining table holding fruit or salad as it is displayed as a standalone object.

• Finished with a hardwearing blend of natural plant oils and waxes

• Approx. 26cm diameter and 5cm tall and 3cm deep

• Care - Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Re-oil periodically to maintain the finish. Avoid prolonged contact with water and don't put in the dishwasher.
