Hand-turned from a single piece of beautiful Scottish Elm. This bowl has a stroke of lighter sapwood on one side but is mostly made up of the rich, dark heartwood of the tree.

The Fairlight shape is our original design, born from rethinking the conventional rules of woodturning. Traditional bowls keep an even wall thickness throughout, which limits their form and wastes much of the timber. We kept the clean, straight exterior but introduced a sweeping interior curve — combining the architectural presence of a straight-sided vessel with the organic depth of a classic bowl.

This beautiful example of modernist design is as at home on a dining table holding fruit or salad as it is being displayed as a standalone object.

• Elm, hand-turned from a single solid piece

• Finished with a hardwearing blend of natural plant oils and waxes

• Food safe

• Approx. 30cm diameter and 8cm tall and 6cm deep

• Registered as a new and original design by the UK Intellectual Property Office

• Care Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Re-oil periodically to maintain the finish. Avoid prolonged contact with water and don't put in the dishwasher.
