Handmade on the lathe from Sweet Chestnut, once turned this bowl has undergone the ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi. A 2000 degree flame was used to instantly char the surface. An abrasive was then used to remove the thin layer of loose charcoal and the process started again. After the second charring, the surface was treated with 2 coats of a food-safe hard-wearing blend natural of oils and waxes before polishing. Bird and Branch logo sits underneath at its centre.
