You are not likely to see a finer example of burr elm… Hand-turned from a single piece of English burr elm, this piece showcases the extraordinary swirling grain that makes burrwood one of the most sort after timbers in British woodworking. The dense, chaotic patterning is so highly prized that the vast majority is sent off the be peeled into thin veneer that is then glued to a substrate somewhere in the furniture industry. This trivet however, is solid!

This trivet is designed as a decorative object although it is suitable for dry use.

• Finished with a hardwearing blend of natural plant oils and waxes

• Food safe

• Approx. 21cm wide x 2cm tall

• Care - Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Re-oil periodically to maintain the finish. Avoid prolonged contact with water and don't put in the dishwasher.
